Adult Bible Fellowships - ABF's

"Therefore everyone who hears these words of Mine, and acts upon them, will be compared to a wise man, who built his house upon the Rock." - Matt. 7:24

Churches are great places. They offer preaching, worship, and many different activities. But sometimes, you can feel lost in a church. There are so many people, so many things going on. Where do you go to get to know people you can be friends, pray and share your life with?

At the Chapel, that place is in an Adult Bible Fellowship. More than just a Sunday school class, ABF’s are designed to build long-term relationships among believers who become like family to one another.

WHAT is an Adult Bible Fellowship?

ABF’s are small communities within a church. Most begin with informal conversation and the sharing of prayer requests. This is followed by an interactive teaching time led by the teacher.

WHO leads the Adult Bible Fellowships?

Each ABF has a leader and a teacher. The leader oversees the group and is responsible for shepherding its members. The teacher changes each quarter and rotates from class to class to provide variety. The teacher’s main responsibility is to communicate the Word and facilitate its application in the lives of the ABF members. Each ABF also has a leadership team of class members that oversee care, socials, and prayer for the group.

WHY should you go to an Adult Bible Fellowship?

ABF’s are an excellent place for you to get to know others in the church and build friendships. You will be cared for and given an opportunity to care for others through prayer, encouragement and in other practical ways when needs arise. You will receive training in God’s Word and guidance in how to apply it to your life. Spiritual growth will occur as you become an active part of the body of Christ and begin reaching out to others, inviting them to your ABF.
