Small Groups . . .
Building Faith and Relationships
Small groups become the place we can encourage and challenge each individual to: build on the bedrock of the Word; strengthen our faith in Jesus Christ, the "Corner Stone"; and to discover our relationship to one another as "living stones"(I Peter 2). Called by God to be His visible church, we desire to reach our world with the Gospel of salvation.
It is clear in Scripture that God never intended for believers to live in isolation from each other. In fact, the Bible uses the words "body" (Rom. 12:4, Eph. 4: 16) and "building" (Eph. 2:20-22; 1 Pet. 2:5) to describe a group of believers. Both words give the picture of several parts or pieces that are closely connected and working together in order to be built up. We need the input of others in our lives and God wants to use us in the lives of others. However, we can’t develop close relationships with huge groups of people, so it is important for us to be a part of a small group of believers.
They can meet at any time but most will be held in the evenings. The average group meets for an hour and a half. The schedule allows for half the time to be focused on fellowship, prayer and care and half on the study selected. For more information, or to have a more detailed brochure mailed to you.
